Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026 · Applies to the Hop Doctor iOS app and this website.

Hop Doctor is built to need as little of your data as possible. The short version: your videos never leave your phone, there are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics trackers. The only data that ever leaves your device is a leaderboard entry, and only if you choose to submit one.

Your videos stay on your device

When you import a video, Hop Doctor analyzes it entirely on your device using Apple frameworks and an on-device computer-vision model. Your videos, the body-pose data extracted from them, and the annotated replays are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. The app requests read access to your photo library solely so you can pick videos to analyze.

Data stored on your device

Your Boost Score history, achievements, and settings are stored locally on your phone. Deleting the app deletes this data. We have no copy of it and no way to access it.

The leaderboard (optional)

If you choose to submit a score to the leaderboard, the following is uploaded to Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) public database and is visible to other Hop Doctor users: your chosen display name, your Boost Score, and the category details you provide (such as gender, bike type, and age group). Submitting requires being signed in to iCloud on your device; we never see your Apple ID, email address, or name. Leaderboard submission is entirely optional — every other feature works without it.

To have a leaderboard entry removed, email us at the address below with the display name and score, and we will delete it.

What we don't do

• No accounts or sign-ups
• No advertising and no ad networks
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties

This website

This website is a static page. It does not set cookies or run analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log standard web-request information (such as your IP address) to serve the font files.

Children

Hop Doctor is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Leaderboard display names are chosen by users; please don't use your full real name.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
